Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati - The Artist

Ma is an untrained, outsider or naïve artist whose subject matter is simultaneously mystical and autobiographical. In the work she combines Hindu mythology with emotional references to spiritual life. In Ma Jaya's art the mystical and or spiritual experience is closely linked to her creative process. One can therefore trace the course of her spiritual journey through art.
