Hello Rolph,

in my earlier life (and yours) you knew me as Andrew and Blaine and I visited you in Quebec, and you later knew my brother Mark. My brother has just given me this contact for you. I would love to catch up with you, and all that has passed by us over the last thirty years. If there is some more private way of doing it, please let me know. I hope you are well.

Namaste Ganga Kali Das Jaya -- have you had a chance to read my book "Mirabai" yet? It's full of Kashi cat wisdom -- and a touch of human wisdom also...a soft exploration of interfaith life at our ashram. Swami Anjani calls is going into spirituality through the back door.
If you're away, where are you NOW? Are you coming home any time soon? My love to you. You are such an inspiration to me. Ganga Ma Jaya

Discourse on the Lovin Kindness : Metta Sutra
Short version as read at the close of the mindfulness sessions:
METTA SUTRA

May all beings
be happy and safe,
and may their hearts
be filled with joy.
May all beings live
in security and peace,
whether weak or strong,
large or small,
near or far away,
visible or invisible,
already born
or yet to be born,
May all of them dwell
in perfect tranquillity.
Discourse on Loving Kindness (Metta Sutra) (Full Text)

She or he who wants to attain peace should practice being upright, humble, and capable of using loving speech. He or she will know how to live simply and happily, with senses calmed, without being covetous, or carried away by the emotions of others.
And this is what she or he contemplates:
May everyone be happy and safe, and may their hearts be filled with joy.
May all living beings live in security and peace—beings who are frail or strong, tall or short, big or small, visible or not visible, near or far away, already born, or yet to be born.
May all of them dwell in perfect tranquillity.
Let no one do harm to anyone. Let no one put the life of anyone in danger. Let no one, out of anger or ill will, wish anyone any harm.

Just as a mother loves and protects her only child at the risk of her own life, let us cultivate boundless love to offer to all beings in the entire cosmos. Let our boundless love pervade the whole universe, above, below and across. Our love will know no obstacles, our heart will be absolutely free from hatred and enmity. Whether standing or walking, sitting or lying, as long as we are awake, let us maintain this mindfulness of love in our heart.
This is the noblest way of living.

Namaste,
I am asking for prayers for the Tibetan people. This is a very difficult moment as China again becomes very violent killing innocent monks and people. China have closed down UTube so that they can hide the violence.
The Dalai Lama is calling on Leaders of Governments to appeal for talks. Kashi has had a reputation for supporting Tibet in the past. I would like to awaken this interest again. we can use the Buddist Metta prayer every day before we do our Yoga and meditation.
May beings everywhere be at peace.
May beings everywhere be free from suffering
May beings everywhere be free!

Dear Brother Rolph...
How are you my friend... I hope your travels through Europe are not tiring you out too much.
Things are not going well in Lhasa, I will dedicate my meditation to all those who are suffering there. I received word from Claire, who is currently teaching children in Dharamsala and she is well and send her regards. I have been invited to go to Vietnam to teach for a year and have not made a final decision as of today. I' ll keep posted
Stay Well
